Vietjet has brought its hot air balloon to Thailand for the first time as part of International Balloon Festival in Hat Yai on 10-12 May 2019 at Jiranakorn Stadium. Vietjet iconic balloon spots the colors of its corporate brand – red and yellow. It is 25 metres high and 18 metres wide and can cover a large distance and reach a maximum height of nearly 1,000 metres. Launched in 2016, Vietjet balloon has participated in a series of major festivals in Vietnam and around the world such as the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta 2017 in the United States, the largest balloon festival in the world.

For this International Balloon Festival in Hat Yai, visitors will have the opportunity to watch the Vietjet balloon and others lift into the panoramic sky view of Hat Yai and enjoy plenty of special activities from Vietjet with the air tickets as the attractive prizes for visitors to join their activities.

The International Balloon Festival Hat Yai 2019 is sponsored by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT). This three-day festival features various unique hot air balloons from both Thailand and international, including Vietnam, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, USA, Brazil, and Japan. There are morning activities (06.00 – 08.00 Hrs.) and evening activities (17.00-22:00 Hrs.). The morning activities include balloon flights, balloon tethering and walk-in balloon opportunities to get up close with the balloons and their pilots. The evening activities include the Balloon Night Glow performance with light and sound effects, as well as the balloon tethering and walk-in balloon attractions.
